  : Great location, staff is very polite and the structure I stayed in (not hotel Maestrale) is very clean. They did their best to compensate my room/hotel change with free parking in their garage and I appreciated it. Real espresso for breakfast!
  : I got bumped to the hotel depandance (as they call it) but in reality it was an appartment in their residence Lungomare. I was notifed of this over the phone on the day of my arrival and it was presented as an upgrade. The appartment was in order but it was not at the level of what I booked, 3* in my opinion. The bedroom (one of two) was very very small and even if the appartment was bigger than my original room it was not something that was 100% to my needs. No full size mirror, tiny bedroom, a living room/kitchen I spent no time in, no closed hallway to the breakfast restaurant. I understand overbookings happen, however hotels should avoid them at any cost and provide the same service level to the guest - this was not the case.
