Villa Puccini Bed & Breakfast

: Cristina was super friendly. The Villa is a very nice, classically-decorated old property with large rooms. The salon where breakfast is served is quite beautiful. The garden around the villa is well-tended. There is a small refrigerator by the entrance that all guests can make use of. Breakfast was affordable and good. The Garage Pub, 10 minutes walk away, is a nice place to hang out.
: This has nothing to do with the property itself, but Lecco is just not a great place compared to the other towns around Lake Como. The Villa is also far from the small part of the city that is car-free and charming: to get there from the Villa is around a 45-minute walk. I was disappointed that the salon, which would have been a great place to sit and read or have a chat, is only accessible during breakfast; the rest of the day it is gated off and marked as private. This means that there isn't anywhere else to be on the property other than your room (or the seating in the garden if the weather is good). Our room, while very large, was designed to maximize sleeping space. There were three beds in it, and no table, desk, or sitting area that we could have potentially made use of to hang out.

: Very charming place with a super friendly host! We had a family room with place for 5 to sleep, and air conditioning, which was very helpfull with the temperatures. We got directions on where we could go and eat in the neighbourhood upon our arrival. Very kind person towards our kids, and they loved the (lazy) dog!
: You can't park the car in front of the hotel. It is a quiet narrow and steep street. We did however manage to get the kids and bags out in front of the villa and park the car on the bottom of the road, about 100m further on. There was a gass station where we could load our electric car overnight (different kinds of chargers, also convenient for hybrid cars!)
