  : This hotel is located in the oldest part of Genoa, a very atmospheric medieval maze of narrow streets. It is about 20 mins walk from the train station and just 5 minutes from the main square. There are lots of restaurants etc nearby. The hotel is a tall narrow building with only 4 rooms on each floor. Therefore, although my room did not have its own bathroom, there will be a maximum of only three other people with whom to share the communal facilities so it is no inconvenience at all. The manager was very friendly and helpful.
  : As it is a very old building in such an old part of town, there is no air-con (just a fan) and the buildings across the street are very close. The description on the website and the owner are all very clear about this, so I knew what to expect but, for the record, do not expect to get a light and airy room.
