  : The ambience and the detailing of the house and the property is absolutely magic. The city of Fivizzano is also very charming.
  : Would be nice with more closet space for clothing and an extra refrigerator to store cold drinks. Would also be nice if it was possible to use the area towards the river. Perhaps a platform with chairs at the river bank.

  : We really enjoyed our stay at Ai Torchi Vecchi. The house is very beautifully decorated, the location next to the river is stunning. Our favorite "extra" was the fabulous fire pit...perfect for an evening drink and firefly-watching. We weren't terribly lucky with the weather, but the rain made the relaxing sound of the river even more impressive. Destinations such as the Cinque Terre, Lucca and Pisa can be reached reasonably by car or train (from Aulla).
  : The fireplaces inside - beautiful as they are - are unfortunately not very functional; we're pretty good fire-makers, but we still ended up smoking up the whole top floor. The grill outside worked but could use some improvements - especially a cover (for occasions when it rains)...the grills we know from Croatia all have a back and "roof".
