New Fontana Rooms

: The budget room was on the top floor, I banged my head on a low beam at the top of the stairs and I am only 170 cms. The room was an attic, so the roof sloped and you had to be careful of bumping your head. Only one side window so little natural light and had to be reached with care. I think it is too dangerous to be rented, it certainly wouldn't be cleared here in Australia. Just take it off the site, I didn't see the other rooms, David McCann

: nothing!!!! I will be following up with booking to let them know why I had to go a different hotel and why I will dispute any hotel charges for a hotel that I was not available to check me in and subsequently, I had to find at night, in a foreign country, a new hotel.
: smelled of cooked food from the restaurant below. poor service!!!!

: It was ideally located near both station and town centre for my purposes (I was en route by train from southern Italy back to UK). Very comfortable and well appointed - just a shame I couldnt have stayed longer.

Pleasant

: Location in downtown Como, cleanliness, comfy bed, hostess was cheery and very welcoming.
: Most bizarre hotel room I've ever been in (# 7). Elevator up 1 floor, stairways up 2 floors, we were in an area that seems to be an attic. The landing outside our room had 2 hazards, small steps that were not obvious over which we tripped, and a low level beam across the landing between the stairs and our room. I hit it at least twice. The room itself had another low level beam across and a sloping ceiling down to less than 5'. Bumped into the beam 2-3 times, 1/3 of the room is unusable as it is beyond the beam and under the sloping ceiling. Basically unsafe. Windows, but no view other than roofs of other buildings.

: Great location easy walking distance to the waterfront and the train station. Espresso shop next door! Large room, updated furnishings, clean.
: What we found as typical European - no door on shower which can allow over spray into bathroom. Not a big deal.
