  : Ricardo at check-in was excellent. We then had two days of just ok staff at the front desk. We upgraded our room to a view of the Vigo Bridge so we could see the water. Much better room than the classic double looking onto an alley. Hotel was convenient to the water /bus ferry to Venice, but it takes a full 1.5 hours to get to / from Venice each way. Hotel convenient to walk around Chioggia, but its a very small town.
  : Our room was above the restaurant below the hotel and late on our third night, i.e. 10 p.m. - 1 a.m. , the staff were slamming several doors shut almost every five minutes. I complained to the front desk staff, and their attention helped it to calm down. Chioggia is charming and relaxed, fine for a 1 or 2 night stay, but its local taxis are very few and are extremely expensive: i.e. 20 euros to go 1.1 miles over to Sottomarina; 25 euros to go from hotel to the Viking cruise, less than 5 minutes away. Bus station a long walk from the Hotel or water ferry; very difficult to get a taxi from the bus station. Taxi costs 170 euros from Marco Polo Airport and 90 euros from Padova. No train service.

  : Staff were amazing they went above and beyond to help out. The area was superb, stunning, and hotel right in the centre of this little haven. Great authentic bars and eateries are hidden around every corner. Not the bustling madness you find in Venice. Very unspoilt.
  : It was very expensive to get to by taxi for arrival. Unfortunately, then upon leaving, when our travel plans had to change at the last minute due to our port embarkation moving there were no local taxis available, so we had to get a public bus to Venice! To be fair, the staff did everything within their powers to help. However, it was scary stuff!

  : Lovely upscale hotel.
  : Price problem. We originally were traveling with another couple and so booked the largest 2 bedroom suite. The other couple were ill and cancelled. A month ago we told the hotel but we decided to stick with the larger room. Problem was that when we went to the suite it was accessible via a wooden ramp to the roof and had a one foot step down at the front door. Not suitable for my 80 year old wife. The hotel did not disagree and we stayed in a lovely junior suite (a large single room). A good corner room. Very nice. All good. But upon departure I asked if there was a different rate for the smaller room. I was told I had already paid and that was the rate. The junior suite was about the same price, the hotel explained. There would be no adjustment. I feel somehow unhappy. It is a great hotel? But . . .
