  : Charming reception by the proprietors mother in law who didn't speak English but welcomed us and explained that the owner would arrive shortly.This lady checked us into a beautiful 3 bedroomed apartment and explained all matters while advising about a Restaurant.The rooms and bathrooms were spotlessly clean.
  : Slight difficulty in accessing the place by car but cars were unheard of when the village was built.

  : It's an unusual place, lovely wood beams.
  : Hot tub was closed for the season which is apparently typical but we didn't realise and had booked this accommodation for the hot tub.Located up in the hills so the accommodation was a little cold.

  : The location is very good. In a peaceful hamlet, fairly close to both Arcidosso and Casteldelpiano. Both can be reached quite easily even with leasurely walks through the countryside.The kitchen has been fully kitted out and has everything one needs for a short break. The double bed was very comfortable, its mattress being very firm.The Wi-Fi provided was OK. Not very fast, but perfectly functional, with no glitches.
  : My flat was right underneath the one given to a family of five, three of them being children. So it was very loud at times. With better planning they could have allocated that family on the ground floor; not above my head.Overall the facilities were good, even though one had to share the boiler/heating charges with the flat above. I decided to turn off all the heaters anyway, as I don't like my living space being too hot, but still that shared arrangement is far from ideal for independent travellers.Unfortunately no bidet in the bathroom, which is extremely rare in Italy. And the place is not and never was a castle; just a hodgepodge 21st century restoration of a farmhouse.
