  : The room was clean and of a good size, and so was the bathroom. The views are beautiful. The linen was good and the mattress and pillows were very good. Breakfast was excellent. I would add that the dinner was very good. Le Charaban offer excellent value for money.
  : The location, near a busy roundabout, with occasional loud traffic and no pavements for a safe relaxed walk.

  : The situation was superb.The breakfast was very good.Lovely balcony with table and chairs with superb views of the mountains.
  : We delayed our planned arrival by one day because we were informed the restaurant would not be open on the evening of our arrival. I asked if the restaurant would be open on the evening of our new arrival date? I was told it would be. This was an important point for us because we were travelling from Lucca, and would be tired, and the menu in the restaurant looked amazing.When we arrived, we booked in, and were then told the Restaurant was closed! It seems that the previous evening there were lots of guests, so they decided to open the restaurant for them, and close it instead on our new arrival day! We were told that there were restaurants down the hill in the town. This meant getting back into the car. Not on. We asked for local food shops, and were given directions. We picked up non-smelly convenience food and brought it back to the hotel to eat on our balcony overlooking the mountains. I explained at Reception that we had bought food and would they be good enough to lend us plates and cutlery. The answer was a straight no! I asked again in case she thought I was asking for a " plate of food" . This was met by an even firmer "no" , the crossing of arms and a step backwards. My company paid a lot for me to learn different skills, and one of them is reading body language. There are no prizes for getting the answer to this one. To our further annoyance, a small group of people arrived and entered the Restaurant, whereupon, cooking began in the kitchen. We ate our cold evening meal on the bedroom balcony.I am an ex Hotel and Restaurant Inspector and cannot fathom their attitude to us. There was a definite atmosphere, and it was there before us.In addition, the reception area was very dark and not welcoming. We had a drink at the Bar, which lacked lighting and the dark furniture did not help matters.I have written many reviews and have delayed writing this one to ensure my words are balanced.
