  : The highlight was to watch the sunset changing the colors on the snow on Hekla while sitting in a hot tub. Cosy cabin in an amazing location.

  : The hosts themselves were extremely nice to talk to and own another cabin/house right next to the cabin. They sent us a gift since the hot tub was not working. The area around the cabin is secluded and there is beautiful landscape around the cabin along with horses and running river next side to it. There is 360 almost unspoiled view of the landscape and you can roam around the cabin freely to experience the surroundings.
  : The road leading up to the cabin is almost impassable for a normal car at the moment (mid february) we stayed because of flooding and mud on the road. Since the road leads through a neighbouring field owned by another farmer the owners cannot do a lot about the road. We couldn't use the hot tub as it was not working which was a huge let down. This was however not the owners fault as they explained to us that they had already let the staff responsible for the communication for Booking know and that information did not get passed to us before hand.

  : Our group of 4 really enjoyed the location - very quiet, off the beaten track with superlative views of Hekla, a river winding along the back of the property and Icelandic horses to pet. In addition very conveniently placed as an entry point into the Highlands. This is what appealed to me enough to book in the first place. Property was clean, well equipped and we used the hot tub which was perfect after a long day.
  : I would say the rooms are very small and be prepared to drive a gravel road to reach the cabin, but thats all.
