  : Definitely a must do, the spa is a unique experience that provides a much needed private retreat for the stresses.
  : Staff were helpful and nice. But, they are very rigid and closed-minded. So, be aware, expect a very respectful treatment but don't expect a luxurious one. Here are a few things I noticed that they miss and I would expect from a 5* spa: coordination between treatment, activities, dinner time and room service so guests are not interrupted nor need to request room service. In a late check-in, offer room service such as closing windows and putting the sweets while the process is happening. Or coordinate a relaxing post-checkout moment by sharing a open-area only bracelet giving access to spaces such as nests or fireplace. Those are very simple actions that could be taken by the property for zero costs or interfering with other guests but they fail to do so. Not the level of the service I would expect from a spa of this level.

  : Great location. Very friendly staff at the reception.
  : Moss restaurant is unfortunately closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. The SPA restaurant and the Lava restaurant are not up to the standard. Lava is promoted as gourmet dining but that's way off! Most of the restaurant staff is not very attentive and most of them not even friendly. SPA restaurant and Retreat pool fills up with people staying in the Sicilia Hotel who just walk in - as a high rate paying guest of the Retreat you wonder why you have to go through a waiting list to get a table while Sicilia guests dine......

  : This place is unique and magic. The lagoon is beautiful. Having a bath in the middle of a lava field is fantastic.
  : The bathroom is literally in the room, without any separation, which means no intimacy. At this price, this is something I do not understand. I was also dispapointed by Moss, the restaurant. Nothing exceptional.

  : Really nice property. However a really poor experience at the end of our stay spoiled it. Do better The Retreat.
  : Checked out of property at 11am on time and told them our flight left at 3pm (so we would leave for airport at 1pm) and that we would need access to facilities so we could shower/change before we left. Instead we were denied access and told we would have to pay 400 to continue using facilities for literally 2 more hours. So after spending 2,000 in less than 24 hours (hotel, spa treatment for GF, dinner at their top restaurant) we get this news. Have never in my life been told we no longer have access to any facilities immediately after we check out at 11am - let alone a hotel that charges this much. They kick paying hotel guests to curb to make way for day guests. There were four other couples sitting around lobby twiddling fingers until flight left for two hours because they were all kicked to curb too. The young brunette guy at counter was extremely unhelpful, very robotic and unsympathetic. BE AWARE! You get access to your room at 3pm and then are kicked out next day at 11am unless you want to pay 400 for even 30 minutes more to use their facilities to shower or change. Disgraceful.

  : Yoga is advertised but it was not possible to book in advance. The assignment room was far too small to cater for the supply and demand and we were disappointed to be turned away even though we were 15 -20 mins early.
