  : If you are looking for an apartment in the heart of Budapest, I implore you to stay away from this abysmal excuse to rent! My family and I suffered through a horrific experience that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. This review comes from a place of raw honesty and genuine concern for others who may fall into the same trap. Upon arrival, we encountered a series of problems that can only be described as an absolute disaster. Broken flooring, missing keys to the shower room and toilet, dislodged window frames, dismantled panels, broken chairs and a complete lack of lighting in the living room - everything is meticulously documented. This apartment was a ticking time bomb of dangers waiting to ruin our stay. Our troubles did not end there. A clogged toilet made me an unprepared plumber for the weekend, and added insult to the stay. And even though I documented all the problems we encountered, the owner accused us of causing damage to the apartment when we left. Such baseless claims are evidence of the dismal character of the owner, who seems to have no qualms about exploiting his guests. Don't let the luxury location of this apartment fool you - it's a real nightmare. I appeal to you - those who are looking for a stay in this place, pay attention to the warning! mine and avoid this trap at all costs. As for the owners, I implore you to address the multitude of problems plaguing your rental and treat your future guests with the fairness and respect they deserve. And not in the way you chose. Let this review and critique serve as a beacon of truth for those looking for an enjoyable stay in Budapest. I cannot stress enough the need for caution when considering this apartment. The unmet expectations, along with the unethical behavior of the owner, make this rental a dangerous choice. Please take this warning seriously and think twice before ordering.

  : This is about helping other travellers decide. It also what I would call the good, the Bad and the VERY UGLY in the end. The positive is that you would hardly find a more central apartment close to all amenities - restaurants, sight seeing places, Metros, Supermarket and up market shopping in the whole of Budapest. Despite being super well equipped with all the toys there are NO curtains, basically two sofa beds in the living room to sit on, of which the one was broken, apart from 4 dining table chairs. The TV worked but the ethernet connection to it from the decoder was not. So no TV for 6 days - perhaps a good thing. The above are the facts, we were 3 elderly citizens, a dentist, a businessman lawyer and ex teacher housewife. We have nothing to score and nothing to lose - Actually unless Booking.com comes to the party we may loose about 50 euros, which is not the end of the day, but there is a principle involved. Caveat emptor - Buyer beware...
  : Toilet if flushed in full no 2 mode - fills up to the brim - Thus beware. Rather use 2 no 1's to get rid of a no 2, it may overflow. Broken furniture as mentioned. Apartment not ready at arrival past 3pm, check in time was 2 pm. Apartment not clean. Water used to wash the floor smelly, we were there, so we had to re-clean. Carpet on living room floor felt unhygenic and we rolled it up, put in the corner. washed floor underneath again. Permanent dirt markings and damage to the walls, door sills, and cracked/broken floor tiles. Incomplete inventory, which was reported to the owner, many items not accounted for, nothing was done. Bedding seemed clean but unironed. Apartment effectively 5 1/2 floors up. During the weekend the building's lift broke down. So next to the Ugly... The owner subtracted 50 euros for late departure, which means that he alleges that we left after 10 am. The facts are that we left the apartment @ 03h20 on the day of departure, as we had a flight to catch to Brussels @ 06h35. But somehow, miraculously his cleaning staff saw one of our group in the apartment around noon, at which time we were already at Lindenhaus, Weywertz, Belgium. Despite me providing proof to the owner of the car I rented in Brussels at 09h16 that morning, plus the boarding tickets off ALL three of us, he still went ahead and held the 50 Eu back... Perhaps another point worth mentioning - When originally doing the booking I booked for ETA 19/7, which was a day too early as we only arrived on the 20th About 3 - 4 weeks before our arrival I pointed this out to the owner, re a possible refund, if the unit is rented out on the 19th. My assumption is it was, as they were still cleaning it @ 3pm on the 20th, but no refund...

  : Very good geographical location. The apartment is very spacious. There are enough bedrooms and bathrooms. A big amount of restaurants also in the area.
  : The hygiene of the apartment must be reviewed ASAP. The cushions are all filled with dirty yellow stains. The blankets don't smell good at all, it's almost impossible to cover yourself with them unless you have a blocked nose. Too bad not to have shampoo but hey it's still not a hotel
