: The hotel has an amazing location, and is a short drive away from park Entrance 3. This entrance provides direct access to the lower lakes. To get to the upper lakes, you take a boat up, and take a bus back. The boat/bus seemed to run until around 5:30 PM (in mid-October when we stayed) The room was warm, inviting, and comfortable. One of the best we've stayed in. Lovely furnishings, lots of space and you could open the window and hear the creek down the hill. We ate at the B&B both nights, and the food was home cooked and very delicious. The restaurant has a family atmosphere where you can talk with the family who runs the B&B, and other guests if you wish. The breakfast buffet was very lovely as well. There is a map of the park in the dining room, where we were shown the best ways to explore the park. The family who runs the hotel is very kind and accommodating. A wonderful stay and we will definitely choose to stay here when we get back to the lakes!
: We truly enjoyed our stay at the BnB, and the ambiance and service overall would have earned it a perfect 10 from us. However, we did encounter a small issue during checkout which made us give a 9. While there was a mention in the check-in message about needing cash for meals, it was embedded amongst other details and slipped our mind by the time we checked out. We found ourselves in a bit of a bind as the credit card machine was down and we dont usually carry a significant amount of cash. Given the distance to the nearest ATM and our tight travel schedule, the situation became stressful. It would have been beneficial if the cash-only policy for meals was more prominently communicated, or perhaps an alternative online payment link could have been provided for such contingencies. Despite this hiccup, we had a pleasant stay and appreciate the hospitality.
