  : The two sisters who run the property are outstanding. Met us at the ferry, insisted are taking the cases including up stairs. Ensured we were settled in. Sorted out return ferry the next day as storm was coming. Nothing was a problem for them. They also prepared the best breakfast we have had during our holiday. All delivered to the table. Room was large and seperate large bathroom. Great outlook onto historical alleyways.
  : Single beds pushed together as a double - but this seems to be the way with a lot of accommodation. Otherwise nothing-

  : This hotel is located a short walk from the ferry in the old town. Fom that point of view the location is just excellent (but see below). The man on reception when we arrived was extremely helpful. We booked the biggest room and certainly we got value for money. A nice large space with balcony, couch and coffee table, separate toilet and huge double bathroom. All very clean and well maintained. There's no view from the balcony, but that's fine because no-one promised one. a set menu breakfast was included and was both generous and absolutely delicious.
  : So call me old-fashioned but I book a hotel room because I need somewhere to sleep. This hotel is located directly above a bar-restaurant which it turns out opens very late. A large group fueled with plenty of alcohol gathered with a piano accordian to sing and shout their way into the early hours of the night. Because of the narrow streets and high walls it's extremely loud and it echoes everywhere. Just when you thought they were wrapping up, off they went again. Until about 3:30 am... Sleep was impossible before then. I got up at 8:30 and tried to make a coffee in the room to find that there were no pods for the machine, and no-one downstairs seemed to understand the issue. They suggested that I buy an extra coffee and drink it downstairs before breakfast. They didn't seem to understand I just wanted to make myself a quick coffee in my room because I was exhausted from lack of sleep. So I got showered & dressed for breakfast. When I opened the room door to go out, someone had brought up a completely different machine with a basket of pods, which was very kind as they were very busy downstairs. Apparently they no longer stocked the pods that fitted the machine in the room.... Don't you think if you went to the trouble of putting a coffee maker in the room, it would be someone's job to make sure there were capsules for it? Unless of course the whole thing is for show. I feel sad saying I would never stay here again, because so much is done so well, and the staff are as helpful as they can be. At the end of the day though, a hotel where it is too loud to be able to sleep is pointless.
