Thomas Apartments Katapola - Chora

  : We stayed in the Villa that's technically outside of town (good to know). It worked fine for us, we rented 4 wheels from Thomas so it took few minutes to get to Katapola or Hora and instead it was quiet around us and we had privacy to watch the sunset from our place etc. If you are not intending to rent a vehicle it is a bit weird location so just be aware of that. The apartment was pretty true to pictures and was cleaned every day. There wasn't much communications from Thomas beforehand but it was easy to get the keys after we arrived, we got them from him from his car rental shot 250 meters from where the ferry stops. One of his employees then drove us to the house. The wifi worked better than any in we got in the Islands while in Greece. There were mosquito nets on the windows which I appreciated after getting eaten alive in the last airbnb I stayed in in Sifnos.
  : The apartment wasn't ready when we arrived even if it was after check in time. It was fine though, we got a ride back to town after dropping off our bags and recommendations for where to eat while we waited. I had read a lot of reviews after I booked, on google, that made me very stressed about the apartment and the landlord. The area around the apartment was bit rough but the Greek landscape is dry and easily gets looking that way. There wasn't much to use too cook, no pan or oil for example and the entrance area in the apartment wasn't very cosy or well designed but still worked fine. Thomas is a sales man type, "special offer to you my friend" kind of vibe which got almost kind of uncomfortable or annoying but in reality there was nothing to complain about, they were helpful and straight forward. As mentioned the location worked for us but it's definetly not "in town" and wasn't really in a casual walking distance per say to any town. And the road down to the apartment was a bit of a "fuuuucck" every time as it's super steep - but one gets used to it and it was fine to drive in both the car and on the 4 wheel.
