  : First of all I was not put up at the Afroditi, but at Manos Rooms. So it is this place I am writing about. It was a spacious, very simple room.
  : Many things that had been promised in the booking were not available. No communal kitchen, no toiletries and other things not needed like hairdryer.

  : The location was very handy, having a little outdoor area was also helpful for drying items. The host was very welcoming.
  : Sadly the emergency exit light was insanely bright - very disruptive for sleeping. The hall light didnt work or one of the bed lights. One one of the days it was very noisy from upstairs (a gentleman talking very loudly on the phone we assume, chairs scraping across the floor etc. Then one of the nights the people in room 4 were so very loud, although this was not the fault of the hosts I think soundproofing is needed.

  : The host family is so charming! I wouldve loved to speak greek to be able to have a nice conversation with them. The man in charge of the apartments was waiting for me outside the apartment once I arrived in the ferry. He showed me every thing. The room was quite nice and cozy. Great location.
  : 1. I was quite disappointed when I so the equipment of the kitchen. Sadly there are no cooking pods, pans or anything to cook really. There is just a small oven and an electric stove, but nothing to cook with. There are glasses, cutlery and plates. So when you read "shared kitchen" and imagine yourself cooking something, Im sorry to say this, but you wont be able to do so. Other minor details: 2. The shower head has no support, so you have to hold it continuously while showering it isnt the most confortable of all. Also it is really easy to get the water out of the shower, so be careful while showering hahaha. 3. The bathroom has a top window that is out of reach, so it is imposible to close (apparently there is some part that is open, so you could feel the cold air entering the bathroom, this made it a little bit cold).

  : I needed a placce to work comfortably for a conference in Syros. I was upgraded to an apartment in the last floor; the host helped me with the baggage, and took me to an apartment with a mezzanino. I imagine some guests would not enjoy it, for the wardrobe was in the up floor, and I would have to take the luggage with me if I wanted to use it; but, in my case, I just left my bags in the down floor and enjoyed the experience of a well equipped flat with a small varanda. A piece of advice: if you arrive from the harbor, face the city and take the street in your left to climb up smoothly to the apartment; if you take a street in your right, you will have to carry your bag and face stairways, rather than just leave the bag wheels work for you. The location is also very convenient, close to restaurants, stores and supermarkets, and even so in a quiet and safe place.
  : The stairways can be a problem for people with movement limitations.
