B&B Hôtel VALENCE Sud

Poor
Traveller Type: Traveling as Couple
: The hotel could not be reached by email or telephone and didn't answered to any mail from us

Good

: We had issues with the check in and since we arrive in the night no staff was available. We could solve the problem online but we did got charged twice. The staff on the next day was not available at reception until 2pm and we needed to leave earlier. We solve everything online again and got good response ,however it would have been easier and quicker with staff at reception if someone would have been there or; someone speaking english as the only lady there was from the kitchen and couldn explain us who to contact.

Disappointing

: The communication with the hotel wasn't good.

  : Very basic

Very Good
Traveller Type: Traveling as Couple
: The staff is always polite and helpful. The room is perfect for one night resting in between a long journey. Easy to find and with plenty of safe parking

Good
Traveller Type: Family with Young Children
: Convenient location near the autoroute. Room adequate and clean. Good option for an overnight stay. Bakery with fresh bread nearby, which opens very early. (We didn't have breakfast at the hotel.)
: We arrived late and check-in was a bit cumbersome. In particular since you cannot drive in through the gate, but first have to walk to some check-in machine at the hotel entrance while leaving your car in front of the gate (and blocking it), then do all stuff with reservation codes, then get back to your car with another code, etc. I understand this is for security reasons (which is appreciated), but still wondering if this cannot be made simpler, e.g. why not provide a code when booking so you could at least open the gate to drive in when you arrive.

Fair
Traveller Type: Traveling as Couple
  : It was clean
: In order to checkin, due to the arrival time, there was a machine and it couldnt retrieve the reservation. It was a bit annoying but then it was possible to talk to someone and get the key. What we didnt really like was how the staff treated some guests, yelling at them in very bad manners in front of everyone during breakfast. So impolite, rude and maybe racist since the guest looked Muslim.
