  : Super setting, lovely and clean, great terrace on banks of Loire for evening drinks
  : Air conditioning unit a little too loud to sleep with on, and room quite stuffy without it ( couldnt open windows due to midges)

  : I loved the location, so central, and with great views over the river. The interior appeared to have been upgraded since I last visited more than ten years ago
  : With an upmarket hotel such as this, I was mildly surprised that it is not fully staffed 24 hours a day. Perhaps the nature of the clientele does not justify it.

  : The location & view from the river facing room was fantastic. The bar terrace was also brilliant & drinks were very reasonably priced. Very good buffet breakfast as well.
  : No staff on the bar so had to go and get someone from reception after waiting for some time to be served. When the lady came back with me she then tried to say that a couple who had arrived at the bar after I went to get her were first but I told her they were not as they came when I left to get a staff member to come to the bar. The couple also confirmed this. Perhaps better to have seperate bar staff than relying on reception staff to also serve people at the bar.

  : The hotel was beautifully situated on the Loire with wonderful views. The absence of any food except a moderate breakfast was disappointing. We thought there would be some food available as in other hotels we stayed at during this trip. Paper cups in the bedroom and a refrigerator which didnt work and when we asked if it could be replaced or fixed were told that it wasnt a fridge! No cold water which was disappointing. We were charged for a small jug of cold milk when we made tea!! As we spent 4 nights there there were a few issues.
