: Close to Gare du Nord, perfect for a lay over between trains. Beer and food are a classic from a little French bistro. Definitely feel the authentic old Paris. Helpful owner directing us away from areas to avoid in the neighbourhood that we weren't aware of. Free WiFi!
: Neighbourhood a little bit sketchy at night. Owner ask to leave your room key with him if you leave the building for a walk (which is extremely strange). It wasn't a double bed as booked but 2 single beds (didn't matter much anyway for us). The hotel rooms themselves are pretty run down. It wouldn't take much to make it better: - Rip off the already peeling tapestry and have a new paint all over the rooms and hallways. - Change the stained linens. And clean a little bit better. - Don't tape over broken shower, fix it. - Remove the carpet in the stairs or replace it. After all.. for the price, it is what it is...

Very Good

: This is an old-fashioned little hotel, just a few basic rooms above a bar, with shared bathrooms and toilets. Its location makes it excellent for anyone arriving at the Gare du Nord - the hotel is just a few yards away from the station. It is also open very late - we arrived shortly before midnight and the staff were very welcoming. We also had to leave very early and they were helpful in showing us how we could let ourselves out of the building. We booked at very short notice, and the price was excellent. Highly recommended for a one or two night stay.
: If you need to let yourself out of the fire door very early (before 6 in the morning), make sure you understand how to do it - we almost panicked when we couldn't open the door at first...

: the location and the cocoon place as a typical parisian bistro and the owner very nice and friendly

Disappointing

: The rooms behind this bar-restaurant could hardly be more convenient for the Gare du Nord. Warm welcome. Slept well despite trains rumbling underground beneath bed.
: Peeling wallpaper and toilets on another floor make this a choice really only suitable for those on tightest budgets needing somewhere close to station.
