  : Breakfast was great, the grandma who prepared it was lovely (everyone was lovely), the sweet cat kept me company during breakfast and the kitchen was nice. It's a charming old farm and that is fun! It was also very warm and cozy in awful weather, those stone walls don't shake!
  : My room (the quad upstairs with an outside door) smelled strongly of paint, unfortunately the kind that won't go away easily, and the sheets were torn and very old. The place is close to the racetrack and not recommended for Catholic Paray pilgrims, but fine otherwise.

  : This might have been a good place, although honestly unlikely, but this establishment has a FOR SALE SIGN on its gate. What did we like?
  : Our "hut" was that "white little box" shown in site's pictures. The pictures show it as clean and fairly okay. The actual did not look like that. It sits at the far, back-end of the property, with just a barb-wire fence, and foliage that has not been tidied. I felt security was a definite concern. The toilet has a sign that essentially said not to throw paper into the toilet because they are on septic tank. The front door is of flimsy glass that can be quickly kicked open. PERHAPS THE REASON WHY the front door to this "hut" could not be locked from the outside, despite the owner's brother's attempt to fix it. The madame owner told us not to worry about not being able to lock the door when we leave the "hut" and the property to go out, because she is "in" all the time. This did not sit too well with us, particularly since this property sits at the very end of a small road--that is, not a busy road, but a not-busy-road is not great if one is given quarters that do not lock from the outsideand has flimsy glass front door. We moved to the B&B Hotel across the highway, still puzzled how Roseland has been rated higher than B&B! Well, Roseland has a FOR SALE SIGN on its gate. This may explain a lot of things. Of course, I feel sorry for the hard-working madame owner, but misrepresentation is not the way to do business. Or if it is difficult to maintain a decent standard for reasons that may be why it's being sold, then she may just have to shut it down.
