MASSENA - Duplex loft modern on the Place

  : You can't beat the location of this property. It is a short walk to anywhere you would like to go e.g beach, old town, new shops, train station etc.. The owner of this apartment is also very nice and replies quickly to any queries and is also on hand to help with extras such as places to leave your luggage before check in. Nice layout of the property, small but cute. All the amenities you would need we even cooked a meal there one of the nights to lower the cost of staying in Nice! We probably got what we paid for - fair price.
  : Unfortunately, despite the owners best efforts, this apartment was unbearably hot during the summer months. It got to the point where we would be spending the least amount of time possible in the apartment due to the heat. There are fans in the apartment but this really doesn't put a dent in the heat. We sacrificed getting bitten by leaving the window open as it was just too hot. The shower also gave off a very unpleasant smell within a minute of using it. The bathroom is very small and not for the claustrophobic!! I am only 5'8 and found myself constantly being weary upstairs of banging my head. Comfort or this apartment also was not great, I suspect the bed is a pull out one so not great.

  : the shower stall was full of mold and smells very bad. the bed is very short, legs hanging down. very poor sound insolation, hard to fall asleep. for a long time there was no renovation. The pictures are far away from reality

  : Super location. Clean and comfortable. Good value for money. I enjoyed really good and helpful communication with the landlord and the check in and out arrangements were very easy. I’d stay again, definitely.
  : Quite noisy well into the night. The mezzanine floor was really attractive but the bedroom ceiling was very low with even lower beams which I cracked my head on several times. Certainly no good for anyone over 6” as I struggled at 4 inches shorter.!The shower was a bit cramped.

  : None of the fans or air con worked very well. We were dripping in sweat the whole time and couldn't sleep at all. The kitchen facilities were basic, only one wine glass and most items missing. You couldn't move upstairs and the shower is tiny. My partner and I stuggled to stand up with a giant beam you have to duck under. We contacted the host about bringing another fan but request ignored. Very disapointed as location is excellent.

  : Good stay, great location, clean and comfortable. But the upper flow or bedroom and bathroom have a very low ceiling soo a little hard for my boyfriend who is 192 cm and the ceiling on the upper floor is probably about 180 cm. Otherwise good stay.

  : The apartment was fantastic, spacious and in a great central location for both the Old Town, beach and the centre of Nice. Really easily accessible by bus from the airport. Host was great at communicating and it was easy to access the apartment.
  : The only warning I would give is that if you are tall you will struggle on the mezzanine level with the bedroom and bathroom. I'm 5'8", and whilst I didn't have to duck the shower was somewhat cramped, and the ceiling is quite low upstairs.

  : •The air con was a noisy portable machine whose fixtures had come away from the big metal pipe on the wall. This meant it blew hot air into the room. If the fixture was put back onto the metal pipe the pipe gets so hot it acts as a heater. The fixture would not stay on the air con unit in any event and kept falling off.•You could not sleep with the machine running even if it blew out cold air as it kept you awake. •The air con unit is not shown in the picture of the property implying to us that there was a proper fixed air con system in place. I would not have booked this apartment if I had known this. •The window has to remain closed due to the noise coming from the square which wouldn’t be a problem if the air con had worked. The square is very busy and most days workmen would be erecting something for an event/fixing paving etc. meaning it is very busy. It’s also a place where people gather especially late into the night so again very noisy with the window open if trying to sleep.•The toilet was broke meaning water run into the cistern all night again keeping you awake. To get the toilet to flush you had to stick your finger into the cistern to get the flusher to pop up. •The shower is so small every time you moved it knocked the water off. We are not overweight nor exceptionally large but the shower cubicle is too small.•The shower looked dirty and is full of brown stains around the base.•The bathroom ceiling was so low you had to crouch in the bathroom. Anyone over 5” 8 will struggle. •The ‘free toiletries’ referred to were left over items from previous occupants (virtually empty bottles of shampoo/conditioner etc.) with even a used bar of soap put on a piece of toilet paper for re-use

  : The cleaness and the low ceiling height from bath- and bedroom.

  : The Appartment is perfectly situated in the Centre of Nice. It is in a historical building which es very beautyful und you have a perfect view over the Place Massena - even when you are in bed! You will be in Old Nice in 2 Minutes and at the beach too. The bed has a very good mattress!
  : The whole Bathroom was totally clean but the walls of the Shower Cabin could get a "facelift".
