  : Lovely building, good restaurant and bar. Central location with its own parking in lively town. Reception staff were very helpful when garage entrance was blocked by illegally parked car and with help from Police was cleared in 30 minutes so we could get on our way. Very quick work.
  : Shower fitment loose and bed mattress was a bit uneven.

  : * Check-in good - a really nice welcome * Bed big and comfortable * Public areas were lovely (and nothing like the awful rooms) * Good, secure car park * Great restaurant nearby - LAtelier. An absolute gem * Best part was leaving
  : Youre given an actual room key and the doors definitely need locking when you are in the room as theyre arent that secure. Theres one, small lift - not great when youre checking in/out and the hotel is busy. Our room - basic. With cheap, horrid little cushions on the bed - probably to make it look cosy. No air conditioning so this may need consideration if youre planning on coming in summer. No safe, either. The bathroom was disgusting - the shower tray so stained I refused to use it. Plus it had a dirty shower curtain. Perhaps the hotel hasnt realised its the year 2023 and that there are other, more hygienic options available. The bathroom had been cleaned - as evidenced by the overwhelming smell of bleach that pervaded the room for our entire stay. Worst part was the utterly ridiculous issue with electricity - we had ten power cuts in our one-night stay. The first time we reported it, the receptionist couldnt have looked any more disinterested if hed tried - we were clearly a distraction from selling drinks to coach parties. Second time, they tried to insinuate it was because we were using adaptors - shouldnt have been an issue if we were because, again were in the year 2023 - but we werent; we were running the lights and that was it. We were offered another room at 22:30 - but were ready for bed and had our dog settled. There was no way that moving as an option. Fifth time I was told, Ill try my best but Im not an electrician. We went to sleep with the power off but were woken up by the bathroom light coming back on - but it soon went off again; the longest we had power was about five minutes. In summary, this hotel is one to be avoided - its a disgrace. But if you do give it a go, remember to bring a torch and not do anything crazy like expect to charge your phone or use a hairdryer.
