Disappointing
Traveller Type: Traveling as Couple
  : The location was okay - about a 20 minute walk from the train station and not far to the citadel and to restaurants. Room was okay as far as cleanliness.
  : No hand soap provided and instead of a mattress the bed had a mattress pad maybe 3 inches thick? Very hard to sleep on. For breakfast there was coffee or tea, bread and pastries but no cheese, eggs, cold cuts - yogurt was the only protein option. For the price they charge they should provide more options. We thought at least it would be a quiet location for sleeping but there was loud music coming from somewhere (maybe a club?) outside from 10:00 at night until 2:00 in the morning - although the room was hot we had to close the window to block the noise. All in all, from what we saw of Corte, unless you have a car which gives you access to the nearby lakes and walking trails, there is no reason to stay more than one night at most, if that. We suggest catching the early morning train to town, get off and walk through the citadel, then catch the later train to Ajaccio, Bastia or Calvi. (Also note: although there is a taxi sign at the train station, there are no taxis - and the hotel wont help you get one, so be prepared to walk.)

  : Good location, at the end of a quiet street but almost at the very town centre.
  : Something was wrong with the key to the door: it took a lot of turning left & right to lock / unlock it. Maybe it should be a bit cheaper for what it offers. Otherwise OK.

  : The location is excellent and the room was the perfect size for one person. I was a bit worried, given some of the negative reviews, but honestly, for what you're paying, I think it's very good value for money.
  : The walls are very thin and it can get a bit noisy. Breakfast not included.

  : Everything was very clean, but there was a slight feeling of things being worn a bit around the edges. But for the price and location, no major complaints. Corte is well worth a visit.
