  : You must understand the hotel is limited with what they can offer due to their location. But the location is what you really must come for. The views and immersion and uniqueness of the hotel is what drives it and its prices. I would not pay 300 to stay in this hotel if it was at the bottom of the mountains for sure. The bedroom was barren and the bathroom was bigger than the main room. Dim lights, not a lot of power and the double bed was simply to singles pushed together with in an inch or two gap between. This made it very complicated to sleep as a couple. The restaurant is the only place to eat so therefore can be pricy.menu choice was limited but as I said, expected. We opted for the planche sharer and the cheese fondue. Planche was great but the cheese fondue, too much wine and not enough cheese so eating it was difficult. Drink selection was good but pricey. That being said the ambience of the restaurant and the quality of the service was truly impeccable and really made the evening for us. Buffet breakfast was nice but being in the mountains, I had hoped for something hot to eat in the morning. Having had the planche for dinner the night before, it wasnt the most appealing in the morning after. All in all. A nice stay. Once in a lifetime experience but honestly once is enough

  : Lots of atmosphere and mountaineering history sitting in wood-panelled walls. Comfortable rooms with amazing views. Small, but cozy bar and fireplace area as well as upstairs terrace for enjoying after-hike cocktails and solitude once train stops running.
  : Lots of hikers bring their dogs to this part of the Chamonix valley where they are allowed. Hotel should have a clear policy that they are not welcome into the dining room.
