Place Saint Michel Apartment

  : Very easy access to the quays, metro and all sightseeing spots, right beside Basilica, one supermarket available near quays. Lovely property, quiet, bed rooms very comfortable for all individuals without mobility issues
  : Advised to get Tram C or D to Place de la Bourse for 10 minute walk to property. We found that Saint Michel was just 4 minutes walk away (makes a difference if you have luggage). Would suggest not recommending to adults with mobility issues due to spiral staircase (4 floors - no lift) and steps up to beds.

  : Getting access to the apartment was good as we were met by a friendly host at the entrance and provided with the keys and instructions. The lounge room and bedrooms were reasonably sized. There is a terrace with 2 chairs and a table. Parking at a nearby parking station was included in the price of the accommodation and we were provided with an access pass to swipe on entry and exit. This was very convenient! The surrounding area has some good places to eat and drink and get fresh produce.
  : The apartments 2 bedrooms have their beds sitting on raised wooden platforms presumably so the space underneath can be used as storage. This was strange to be honest as we didnt use this storage so it was just an inconvenience to us to have to walk up and down several stairs to get into and out of the bed. The terrace itself was fine but its table was clipped onto the railing and it had a metal section that goes well over the top of the railing which completely spoils the view of the Basilica. This table should be replaced with something lower. By the way, the main tower of the Basilica is completely covered in scaffolding for what seems like renovation, so this really spoils what should be a lovely view from the terrace. The apartment is up 65 steps on the 3rd floor with no lift. So getting bags up and down is very difficult. Driving from the apartment to the parking station was very tricky the first time as Bordeaux streets are a maze. The general location of the apartment is in an area that is a little bit more run down and seedier than I had expected. Id probably choose another location if I came back. You can hear people walking around on the level above.

  : Great location, lovely little balcony. would recommend.
  : Loved the property although the view was different because of restoration work being done on the flche which was a little disappointing although quite interesting, but will be an extraordinary view when completed. We were out and about so it didnt matter so much and there wasnt a lot of noise from the work being done. Julie was so kind and helpful every step of the way and kept us up-to-date the whole time. She also answered any queries I had and I would love to go back one day when the flche work is complete as I think it would be the perfect view and place to stay when we visit beautiful Bordeaux again.
