: We wanted to get dar out of town so this was great for us but it's definitely not close to town if you need to be. The place was old and rickety but that's the kind of chateau charm we were looking for.

: We had such a lovely stay at this beautiful chateau. A realy luxurious treat for our stay in Normandy. Despite the language barriers on both sides, our hostess was so helpful and accomodating. Really enjoyed it. Breakfast was superb!
: My vegetarian boyfriend said he would have appreciated the option of an alternative to ham with breakfast (but that's us being very picky!)

: The building is beautiful and the owner is extremely friendly (as other reviews note, only speaks very minimal English but was totally patient with our limited French!) Rooms were huge and quite luxurious (especially after staying in Paris right before!) The electric car charger worked great. This is super close to Bayeux (where the nearby restaurants are) and a short drive to D-Day beaches and museums. Mattresses (at least ours) were very firm which was fine for us but be aware if you have another preference.
: The listing is unclear about whether breakfast is an additional charge - be aware that it is. It cost us about 90 euros for our family of 5 per day. We found the breakfast very good for our picky children because there was a variety of items, but we had thought the price was included in the room price we may have made other choices. The owner said "what time do you want breakfast" on check-in as though that's expected, without being clear about the extra cost (whereas at another chateau we stayed at later, the owner told us of the options up front).
