  : Very nice room with excellent bathroom. View from room was beautiful over the sea to the cliffs of England. A good selection for breakfast with convenient times. Though it was a shame brasserie wasn't open the evening we stayed we were able to have a drink on the beautiful terrace and there was a super alternative restaurant five minutes along the road.
  : In the family room the main double bed was separated into two singles for our children so we had the sofa bed as our double which was a little uncomfortable. As mentioned above shame restaurant is closed on a Tuesday but it was simple enough to book for restaurant along the road.

Disappointing

  : Not much.
  : We arrived late Tuesday afternoon, only to find out the restaurant was closed with no advance notice. As this was one of the main reasons for booking this hotel this was a major disappointment. The following is taken from the hotel's web site "Catering service (kitchen open): 12-3 p.m. & 7-9 p.m., lemonade service: all afternoon." We were told to go to a restaurant down the road, but that was fully booked. We had a drink in the bar and were then informed it was also shutting at 18:00. So we couldn't even get a drink. Breakfast was only from 8:00 and as we were leaving before then for Eurotunnel that meant no breakfast either. There are no times for breakfast on the web site, we only found this out when we arrived. All in all this stay was a complete disaster.

  : Warm welcome The views from our Room (No 9) were beautiful. Plenty of space for the 4 of us. Nice meal in the restaurant in the evening - lovely atmosphere Driving along the coast to get back to Le Shuttle Little bottles of water left for us in the room. The air diffuser in the bathroom!
  : It's pretty remote - was not a problem for us, but in terms of eating you are a little stuck I think if you don't have a car. Beds a little firm for us. Our veggie curries were very tasty - but portions were a little light, particularly given that most of the veg was in fact potato. A slightly more generous portion and maybe some naan would have left a much better impression in terms of value for money. Very few options for those slightly older kids who are not that brave with food - kids menu for Under 10s only.

  : Lovely location overlooking the English channel. Less than 30 minutes from the ferry terminal but felt like a world away.Clean rooms and lovely local feeling bar with friendly staff. Ended up staying for breakfast too which was also a great way to start the holiday.
