Disappointing

  : The room was very clean and was true to its historical character. It had a nice view of Santander across the water.
  : Lots. When we first arrived, we were not greeted kindly by the front desk clerk. She seemed to resent us and it felt like we were bothering her. When we had a question for her later, we rang the bell and it was ignored. The older gentleman was more engaging and helpful. He helped with parking, offered to carry our suitcases up and showed us the room. We were told that parking would not be a problem and it was. At one point we had to park three blocks away because the lot was full and there was no room on the street. There were two flights of stairs to climb as we were on the top floor and when we arrived in the afternoon (34 degrees C.) the room was very hot without AC. There was no fan, so it was extremely uncomfortable until later that night when it cooled down enough so we could sleep. We were looking to experience a Spanish posada but found the whole experience to be very disappointing. A lot of effort has gone into maintaining the historical character of the building which does have its charm. Pedrea is a tiny town with limited shopping and few restaurants. There is a passenger ferry service that runs to Santander which is convenient to use.

  : On Sunday nothing was open!

  : Lovely property with great, character, rooms. We just wanted somewhere near the Santander ferry port to overnight before catching the ferry. It was a really lovely little hotel and we will definitely stay again.
  : The car park doesn't have enough space for every room to park a car so let them know if you want to make sure you are parked on site.

  : We stayed for 3 nights,our room had a great view across the river estuary to Santander. The breakfast as always was excellent, and a new development of an evening meal, very welcome and tasty. Very good value for money.
  : The only negative that I found and have mentioned before is that the beds are firmer than I like, a topper would work wonders.
