  : Over 200 per night for a small room with a view of a brick wall. No restaurant or bar on site. The bar fridge didnt work so it was impossible to keep anything cold in the room. There was a constant humming noise from the fuse box in the room which was annoying when trying to sleep. On top of this, the walls are paper thin so you can hear everything in the rooms next to you as well as footsteps and people using the toilet above you. The wifi was dreadful and the TV constantly froze with a no signal message. The breakfast was woeful and consisted of cold, overcooked scrambled eggs, frankfurts and a bowl of tinned fruit. There was a sign for a cereal corner which consisted of a bowl of Cocoa Pops. No muesli, yoghurt etc. There was an automatic coffee machine which did not dispense anything resembling coffee. I was getting picked up to go to the airport half an hour after checkout time and I politely asked if it might be ok if I checked out 30 minutes late before my long flight home to Australia. I was automatically and abruptly told no so I waited on the street. Is this what Mercure consider 4 star accommodation? I stayed at 2 star hotels in Spain which were far superior to this. Lesson learnt and never again.

  : Staff are super nice and helpful!
  : There is no sound proofing on rooms so not a peaceful sleep (especially when the room next door is blasting music at 6am), there was no hot water, furniture in room is pretty old and bashed. Price for one night was way too high for what you get.

  : This is a nice hotel in the center of Madrid, walking distance to many restaurants, souvenir shops and sightseeing attractions, especially the Prado museum. A nice restaurant very close to the hotel is La Taperia del Prado. If you are coming with a car, there is a place in front of the hotel that you can park to get your luggage out. It was suitable for people with disability as well.
  : The staff recommended a parking that the hotel works with but that parking only let cars that were 1.85m tall so we needed to find another one since our car was 1.90m tall - and we found one at Santa Ana square (I believe it was called) but that parking was like a ten minute walk from the hotel. Also in one of the rooms the beds were too small for two people so it was a little uncomfortable but it was okay. Overall the hotel is very nice and is good value for money!
