Catalonia Barcelona Plaza

: I stayed at Hotel Catalonia in Barcelona for 3 days. The location is fantastic, with the metro right at the doorstep and several bus stops within a 5-minute walk. The area around the hotel is convenient, with a mall (Arenas) and several restaurants, cafes, and shops nearby, making it easy to find everything you need without leaving the area. The staff were friendly and always willing to help. We arrived at 1 PM, even though check-in was at 3 PM, and our room was ready, so they allowed us to check in early.Although I didn't try the breakfast, I had dinner and visited the bar on two occasions. The meals and drinks were very good. It's also a great perk that they offer 24-hour room service. The room had body soap, shampoo, a dental kit, a shower cap, and complimentary water, but it would be nice if they included Kleenex and body lotion in the amenities. There's also a minibar in the room. The views from our room and the terrace were magnificent!
: I wish I had nothing negative to mention, but there are a few details that need attention:The bathroom design was inconvenient as the toilet area wasn't separated from the rest of the bathroom. The bathroom extractor fan didn't work. The shower had good water pressure and heated up quickly ( 4th floor room ), but the drainage was slow, causing it to flood. Additionally, I found towels and a bathrobe that seemed unclean, with visible stains. The elevators were insufficient for the number of guests, and the card mechanism for elevator access to your room floor was problematic.

: Great hotel a short metro ride from 'main tourist area'. Veey cool, chic vibes. The pool is great, with awesome views, the bed was massive and very comfortable, and the shower was great too..Would highly recommend.
: Nothing, it is a great hotel

: The hotel is beautiful! The decor was so elegant and unique. The staff were so kind and helpful. We reserved the room but paid once we got there and really appreciated having that option. The pool is great and room service was quick. The location was perfect. We were in close proximity to so many amazing activities. We didn’t have to drive more than 20 minutes to get to all of the events we had planned. It was very easy to take public transportation and walk many places. Catching a taxi was also super easy and seemingly affordable to us. I would definitely go back!
: The food was good but there is room for improvement.

  : Great location. Great rooftop.
: My room was not super clean (I had to call reception upon check-in and ask for extra cleaning). Generally speaking, the cleaning staff is not very meticulous (for example, the room toilets weren't properly cleaned throughout my stay, and there's no brush or product available in the room to do the cleaning yourself)The shower in the room was not functioning properly (pipe was clogged) and water would pour all over, in the bathroom and room corridor. The bathroom in the hotel lobby is not being cleaned on a regular basis either and was dirty. The card system in the elevators is a nightmare. The staff is nice but not super responsive when called for assistance. For the money we pay, this hotel can do better.
