  : Great central location in the Eixample area and walkable to lots of the sites and great restaurants.
  : Amenities were fairly basic for a 4 star hotel, and the bedrooms were simple for a superior room. Unfortunately, I've had to downgrade and change my review because I came home and saw a charge on my credit card after I had checked out. I have reached out to the hotel 3 times now in order to determine exactly what this charge is because I had paid for everything when I checked in last Tuesday with Dani, and when I checked out with Santiago, I was informed that everything looked good as far as charges and everything was already paid for. We also did not use or take anything from the room bar. The next day, I had seen a charge come up in my card after I had checked out at 6 am the day prior. No one has returned my emails or my messages in order to discuss what these additional charges were. So BEWARE, and pay attention to your card after you've stayed here. We had stayed at Axel Hotel in Ibiza and loved our stay there and that's why we booked the Barcelona location. It's highly disappointing that the Barcelona one placed extra charges and did not live up to the same standards as our stay in Ibiza.

  : The cleanliness of the whole hotel was excellent. Food and Bar prices were a little high. The Sunday night entertainment was really nice and good fun.
  : Even though the room was a superior it was small with not enough storage space 2 2 people for 7 nights.

  : In the first room that we booked there was a very bad smell. The manager moved us to a smaller and noisy room with 2 separate beds instead of a king sized bed.They charged us the access to the spa after we went without warning us it wasn’t free before.

  : Bar staff were extremely slow with service. One of the group waited for 30 minutes to get served and walked away because bartenders repeatedly ignored him. Reception was also very very poorly staffed. No one answers the phone and they don’t seem all that interested in helping you. Decor is also very dated.

  : I keep requesting invoice for my book keeper and the staff from the hotel are ignorant. I called them, they said to email them the details of the company such that they can provide the invoice. One month has passed and they are still impotent in delivering what should be mandatory by law. Do not get yourself involved with this hotel in paperwork, run away.

  : I have never slept on a mattress so uncomfortable. I sleep great on a hard mattress. The mattresses in our room were hard but you could also feel every coil/spring even when I was not laying on it. I tried turning the mattress over but the other side was the same. It felt like I was sleeping on a chain link fence. I will never stay here again. I guess this hotel chose to spend 5€ on their mattresses instead of giving guests a comfortable bed. Also the elevators not being connected and coordinated is ridiculous. The breakfast food was also very disappointing. You should not cook bacon my boiling it in a pan. It should be grilled or you should not serve it at all.
