Motel Acropolis

Pleasant

: A bit of a walk from the main town- service station close by but miserable staff who dont know how to smile!!

: A very comfortable room with nice windows and temperature control.
: They lock you in at night unless you call them to open the doors. I found it very scary and I also find it difficult to believe that that would be allowed under Spanish fire codes? The rooms have a garage on the ground level and some stairs that go up to the room. There is a locked door at the top of the stairs for the staff, and you enter and exit through the garage door. You have to call them to open this garage door. I asked them to leave the garage door open the whole night, but when I woke up in the morning it had been closed and I was affectively trapped in my room until I called them to open it up again. I suppose this is a security feature, but it seems insane to me.

Poor

  : nothing
: we were locked into our rooms. only exit with a phone call is thru garage.

Disappointing
Traveller Type: Solo Traveler
: Its quite strange you cant get out of the room when you want.

Good
Traveller Type:
: It was clean and quiet.
: It was garage accessed and we are Camino pilgrims without a car. There is no lobby or central area for use by guests.

Wonderful
Traveller Type: Family with Young Children
: Beds were very comfy, close too Camino trail
: Too far from restaraunts and town amenities. Directions were hard to understand and to get to when walking the Camino

: Room was very comfortable and extremely clean.
: It was really quite a strange experience. I mean the setup was most unusual. Only entrance was thru a garage door ( I had no car ) that I had to be remotely buzzed both into, and when I wanted to leave I had to call to be buzzed out also. Location was not convenient for someone traveling without a car. Only one option for eating anywhere nearby the place. A truck stop diner next door. I would advise anyone walking the Camino de Santiago against staying here.
