Roc Portonova Apartaments

Very Poor
Traveller Type: Family with Young Children
: The ceiling was dripping; mold was growing on the ceiling; and the staff were horrible. There was only one key available even though the room sleeps 4 people. There is the constant sound of chairs scraping overhead, and the walls are paper thin. There were no instructions as to how to use the oven and stove; the gas was very dangerous; there were no cleaning products, sponges, or matches to use the oven or stove. And in addition to this, the manager, Max, was the rudest person I have met in my life. When I asked about the dripping ceiling and the noise, I was treated like the most annoying person in the world - as if all of this is my problem, not his. When I became upset at this treatment, I was told it was only because I wasn't being given what I wanted. Never in my life have I been treated so disgracefully by hotel staff. I left the hotel and found alternative accommodation because I was so offended by the treatment of the staff and exhausted from the noise. The pictures also show a sea view but this is not guaranteed. What is the point of showing pictures of the sea and saying a sea view is available if it's much likelier you will have a view of a wall?

Pleasant

: The views and location was nice
: Very dated. The rooms and hallway carpets are the same since I stayed in 1993 as a 13 year old Im now 42 was hoping they had been updated as always enjoyed staying here but this is a big let down. Not all rooms have the same facilities in them some have ovens which I found easier last time when self catering. The sofa beds are that old now that the springs can be felt through the mattress which is very uncomfortable to sleep on.

  : Location is great
: Very dated, shabby, poorly maintained and not value for money

Very Good
Traveller Type: Solo Traveler
: All of the staff were very helpful and friendly. I had asked for an apartment on a higher level , but was originally allocated one on the ground floor. But the next day i was moved to an apartment on the 2nd floor , with a huge balcony overlooking the sea , the harbour and the beach. The staff were also very helpful with info on bus stops and timetables.
: There was nothing to dislike once my apartment was changed.

Disappointing
