  : I think the owner can do a better job at communicating. He wasnt there when I arrived and failed to mention that hed left a key in a lockbox. When I did get a hold of him he explained how to enter the property so I left my bags in the room and went out to explore. Eventually the owner returns but since I was out already I was not going to run back to check in. I told him this. When I did return after dinner around 8pm I reviewed my booking and realized the owner had given me the wrong room. I texted him with photos of my booking and he didnt respond. I called him to explain and his response was that I was wrong. Then, he asks why I didnt point this out to him earlier and since Id already checked in to the room it was too late. I explained my bags were in the room but the room hasnt been used. My thought in that moment is why is this guy deflecting blame and why cant he simply take responsibility for his error? The truth was because it was an inconvenience for him to interrupt his dinner and come back over. Eventually 40 minutes later he shows up and speaks to me the same way, trying to convince me this is all my fault. I did get the room Id booked but also found the floor was a filthy dirty mess and proceeded to sweep it myself. Everything else seemed to be clean. He did allow me to store some personal items in the fridge in the lobby but upon returning, Id found that he had moved all of them. He never mentioned this. His excuse was so that other guests wouldnt take them but I was his only guest that night. I believe he did this so Id have to wait for him to arrive in the morning that way he could be assured I wouldnt leave without paying. Bottom line: I didnt like how Juan operated and how he spoke to me and made me feel. He needs to take responsibility for himself and his action.
