Boasting its own sandy beach and boat jetty this hotel in the popular harbour resort of Ückermünde offers a swimming pool spa facilities and magnificent lagoon views. The main hotel building is a beautiful historic thatched-roof building with a fireplace lounge seminar room café and conservatory. : Fabulous setting with direct beach access to the lagoon. Very child friendly. Our room had a balcony and views over the beach and the reed beds towards the islands on the far side of the lagoon. We understand the property is entirely self sufficient for electricity (via solar, including a battery) and heat (via a wood chip burner) - very impressive. Nice views from the restaurant. The spa is ok.
: Bedside lamp didn't work and couldn't be fixed during our two night stay. Restaurant food somewhat stodgy. Room decor functional and clean but boring.

: Very family friendly, staff was very nice. The indoor and outdoor pool area was perfect for my kids along with the playground. The breakfast buffet was good and plenty and the hours for breakfast were appropriate.My kids made friends right away which helped a lot to keep them entertained.The grounds are absolutely lovely and provide a lot of recreation like biking, grilling, playing volleyball or anything in the sand like sun tanning. Very convenient food shopping options only 15 minutes away.
: The beds were stiff and pillows did not provide much support. The furniture was very old and dirty looking like from the 80's. Not what I expected. When we requested clean up help it arrived late in the day or not at all (since we were leaving the next day, so I understand). We were not given extra trash bags for the room. We didn't know that we had to book bikes and bowling in advance. They ran out of a baby seat in the bike rentals area and there were not enough slots to reserve bowling which was very limited and disappointing.The beach was somewhat unusable especially with small kids as it was not safe for them with so much floating around algae, wood, weeds, bushels, etc. Not what I expected. Location wise it was far away from many attractions and other desirable towns to visit.
