  : Breakfast was quite good, with a selection of self-serve continental-style offers, including cold cuts.
  : This was a downtown hotel with downtown sounds. Revelers yelling outside the windows at early morning/late night hours. Some carpet in the room would help the sound from echoing.

  : If you want to sleep at all, dont stay here. Too much noise ALL night. Impossible to sleep even with the provided ear plugs!

  : Location is unbeatable - right in the middle of Altstadt, it is within a 20 minutes (maximum) walk from any of the major touristic locations, and the Hauptbanhof as well. The apartment was cozy (I got one on the third floor, with a balcony - beautiful view!), clean and neatly prepared. Kudos for the breakfast (and the jazzy soundtrack, very tranquil).
  : A couple caveats for anyone planning to stay there: the building has no elevators/lifts, so take into consideration carrying your own baggage upstairs. Staff speaks German only - but very friendly and will do their best to communicate in English :) Watch out for the night life: as the building is right next to bars/restaurantes, you might find it a bit noisy if you want to to bed early, mostly weekends.

  : Great location on a car free plaza near stores and restaurants.
  : Conversations from street dining can be heard when windows were open. I was there on a Friday and it went on quite late. Not a real problem for me, but it might bother a light sleeper.

  : A very negative experience at RICKS CITY HOTEL. This is NOT an apartment - it is essentially a hotel room, broken into smaller pieces. False advertising and very poor facilities. Would give RICKS CITY HOTEL zero stars, if it were possible.
  : We were very disappointed in the property. 4 grown adults and there is no where in the apartment to sit down comfortably to have a conversation. The kitchen was the only space which is far too small for this. Not even big enough for all 4 of us to sit and eat at the same time. As well, the benches at the kitchen table kept coming apart when we moved slightly. The fact that the bathroom only was accessible thru one of the bedrooms made it very awkward for all of us. There were no pictures of any common area in the apartment and now we see why, as there was no common area, as this can't be classified as an apartment. The rating for the hotel on booking dot com was a 7, however there was no indication to see how this could be possible. Are the reviews for RICKS CITY HOTEL even real? Not an acceptable hotel, for any small family, or any person at all, really.
