  : I am writing to express my concern about the language proficiency of the hotel staff during my recent stay at Strandhotel Binz.I encountered significant difficulties due to the lack of English-speaking staff members, especially at the front desk.The inability to communicate effectively with the hotel staff hindered my overall experience and caused unnecessary inconvenience. Upon check-in, I had difficulty conveying my room preferences and confirming the reservation details due to the limited English proficiency of the front desk staff.On a couple of occasions, I asked the reception for assistance with local directions and recommendations. They didnt recommend much and unfortunately, the language barrier made it extremely challenging to convey my requirements and understand their suggestions.During breakfast at the hotel restaurant, I struggled to communicate my dietary restrictions to the waitstaff.Effective communication is a vital aspect of the hospitality industry, and it can significantly impact a guest's overall satisfaction with their stay.The hotel should inform its customers about the language problem before booking.

  : Breakfast was great. Staff was very responsive The room was small but there was a bonus room with bunkbeds which provided ample storage
  : Although the hotel was a no smoking facility, the room reeked of stale smoke. I mentioned it to staff. The underground garage is a robot and bit tight. If several people arrive at once, there will be a delay.

  : - Location - very close to the beach and right in the city centre.- Spacious rooms.- Nice breakfast.- Helpfull staff.
  : - Rooms are a bit old fashioned and need renovation.

Disappointing

  : Location is good - view to the bay. But the hotel did not think of providing binoculars or another mean of observation boats and harbors around.
  : Hidden commissions: 20 EUR for some local tax + 15 EUR for parking

  : The breakfast was over all very good a nice variety of bread and jams, although more vegan options could be offered. For example, you need to ask for plant based milk, but the staff is very friendly and will always try to help you.
  : The stench of burned cigars and cigaretts was noticable in the building, when the saloon was used and after it, when they left it open to ventilate.
