  : Location is excellent. Appartment is spacious and well equiped
  : There are lot of things that can/must be better: curtains in bedroom are far too small and missing in livingroom where a bed/counch is situated. Heating in bathrooms doesnt work and one balcony door cant be closed.

  : The apartment looks good on paper, BUT ... Fridge not cleaned, uncovered, old food in the fridge, dishwasher not unpacked. No drinking glasses. Only 2 cups -in the dishwasher. Avoided the kitchen - it appeared unclean. Several flights of stairs - lift door on entry level wouldn't open. Lift door upstairs opened, but the lift did not work. Had to look for more toilet paper- no spares in the bathrooms. Dead, squashed mosquitoes on the walls in the bedrooms - and still more mosquitoes. Street nearest to apartment was a no through road - had to reverse out a one way street with cars and cyclists blocking our car - no prior notice of this. Host messaged me the day before that she would be abroad. Gave us a door code and her mother's mobile. No payment requested- only told the code to enter the building and where the key would be. Late October 2023 (we stayed from 26 to 28 September 2023 in the 2 bedroom apartment) received a WhatsApp message from the host- saying she had tried to contact me via Booking.com & email re payment - I had received no such communications. Asked to deposit payment for the stay in her bank account if I hadn't already done so!! She then provided details of an account. As I live in and am now back in Australia, that was problematic for me as I could not deposit Euros into the bank account from Australia. I had to ask my travel companion (who lives in Germany) to deposit the total payment into the host's bank account and I then deposited the equivalent of my half-share into my friend's Australian account (after working out how many Australian dollars equated to my half-share in Euros) - circuitous, tedious and I have never had this happen before. I had made the booking. Overall the apartment spoiled our first time visit to the beautiful city of Ghent. All our other bookings through Booking.com for our Belgian road trip were as usual very good.

  : This was my second stay at Caps house . Its a huge space, excellent for sharing and perfectly located to explore Gent on foot.
  : All good.

  : The location is in the heart of the city with great view over the picturesque bridge.
  : The communication with the property manager was very slow and difficult and therefore caused us extra problems. The baby cot was requested but the unavailability was informed only on the day of arrival, leaving us no time to seek alternative solution. The instruction of the elevator was not advised so it took us much efforts to carry all the luggage and baby trolley upstairs and then discovered the instruction in the apartment by ourselves. The utensils in the kitchen were either missing or in poor condition. The heater in the toilet was hardly functioning resulting in freezing low temperatures. The general switch of the heater keeps turning off by itself and it took us 2 days and nights to heat up the apartment to over 18 degrees. Theres thick dust under the mats- we had to bring the mat to the toilet floor or the toilet itself was a huge freezer.

  : Great location. Good sound isolation. Huge place. Cooking possible, all utensils available (bring your own nespresso cups).
  : No bench to relax. TV did not receive any channels (missing card).

  : The apartment is spacious and adequately equipped with kitchen utensils for self-catering. The scenery of the river from one of the bedrooms is fabulous. It is also close to the city centre - shops, cafes and restaurants are just a stones throw.
  : The location of the apartment is slightly far away from the train station (about 20-30mins of walk) but I think its worth the walk. Alternatively, public transport like tram is also convenient.
