  : Nice accomodation near the city center. Even if you don't have breakfast, you have the possibility to take something from the common "chicken" at the second floor. Anyway I consider it a little bit expensive for services offered. Even if it isn't in the main street, during the night it could be noisy.

  : Nice old building and a room is spacious. The common kitchen area is good and well equipped.
  : We were bothered by mosquitoes/ midges at nights, otherwise it was very nice and comfortable stay, but if we visit Ghent, definitely come back to here equipped with a insect repellent spray.

Disappointing

  : The location was brilliant and provided easy walking access to everything. The family also had two new dogs, who were adorable and a pleasant surprise.
  : We had informed the hotel through Booking.com that we were arriving around 14:00 and this was confirmed. However, on arrival, we were told we could not check in until 15:00. They offered to hold our luggage securely if we wanted to go out, and this involved leaving it unattended in a corridor alongside reception (which was always unmanned) leading to rooms and the courtyard. We were in a standard room (Adele) which from the photos appeared to be the smallest one. There was no wardrobe, nor enough space to really unpack from our suitcases. There were three wicker drawers and six hangers, so we spent 5 days living out of the suitcases. We were given a WiFi code, though the signal strength wasn't enough to connect from our room (tried on four separate devices). The bed was king-size, but it wasn't particularly comfortable and had two individual duvets and two relatively small pillows. As our room was at the top of the wooden stairs it was very noisy. Every time someone entered the building, rang the bell at the 'reception', climbed the stairs or spoke near the stairwell we could hear it clearly. Along with the uncomfortable bed and curtains that weren't blackout this made it difficult to sleep, particularly in the mornings when there was more activity. From the photos, we were expecting a larger, nicer, and generally fancier stay. We appreciate this is a B&B, but a few basic upgrades could elevate this into a much more enjoyable experience in line with what might be expected. The staff were all very pleasant, but we saw them only at check-in and check-out as the reception was vacated. To some extent, this made it feel quite impersonal which isn't something you would expect from a B&B.

  : Very close to cathedrals, old Ghent and eateries. Boutique, arty hotel the Pianos on display awesome. And you are allowed to view and play if you wish. Lovely staff who were very helpful.
  : Rooms a little basic but that is part of the charm.
