  : Lovely 'hotel' to stay super close to downtown Salzburg and many nearby locations in Germany. It is a heritage hotel originating in the 13th century. Nice period rooms, good breakfast, and close to many interesting locations.
  : Nothing! Not fair to complain about lack of AC in Europe, especially in the mountains - so not a negative :-) To the owner: thank you for pronouncing my name correctly ;-)

  : Check in chaotic, turned up a booked hotel, no staff, hotel locked up, no one answered phone calls, soke to passing people told us to go over road, ended up staying at different hotel without facilities booked, no WiFi, no kettle, had to pay a spa tax - spa open air pool freezing cold, filthy dirty, recused frog! Single beds, what's the story with the shower, see picture

  : Nice restaurant, a simple room, but clean and perfect for our one-night stay.

  : Clean room, nice view, comfy beds.
  : We knew we were going to be late to arrive at the hotel.... and tried at least 5 times during the day of the 18th of May to reach the hotelm management through the phone number we found in order to let them know we might be 21 or 2 hours late. Since last check-in time was 7 pm and to be sure our room was not going to be given to other people, we made sure we were at the hotel at 6.45 pm; cutting short our visit of Salzburg that day ! When we arrived at the hotel and confronted the manager of the hotel with the fact we had tried to contact the hotel at least 5 times during the day... he just shrudded and said " ...we needn't be nervous ...since he wasn't nervous .." and added " ...that he did not have the time at all to pick up the phone." And asked us "... what the problem really was ...since we were there, right ?? ". My spuse was really taken aback by such rudeness and arrogance. This is NOT a way to treat customers and as an Austrian she is NOT used to being treated in such a concdescending, arrogant manner !! We were pleased that at least th breakfast was ok the next morning...BUT ...trhe manager of the hotel we saw baxk in the morning didn't even deem it correct to apologize in any way for his attitude the evening before !! We have decided we WILL NOT BE RETURNING to this HOTEL. Overall... the staff seemed to be nervous and on edge. Not even a smile ! I think the hotel must be understaffed ..or the staff is just plain rude and not at all trained in customer friendlyness !!
