  : The property is very nice and in a great location
  : I booked a two bedroom apartment and yes there are two rooms, but not two individual bedrooms, I was expecting to have a common area and two rooms with doors. It worked out fine there is a nice patio to hang out on. I also cannot believe I was asked to pay in cash. I dont think Ive paid in cash for a hotel anywhere in the world. It would have been nice for booking to have given me a heads up on that. This place also has quiet hours fairly early, which is totally fine, but again a heads up would be ideal.

  : We are a Swiss family and stayed there for 2 nights. The room at guesthouse KRIS is nicely furnished, has a view and was very clean. The double room was perfect with the 5 sleeping places (4 beds). Often at other locations there are only 4 sleeping facilities and we have to book two separate rooms for the five of us. Aldi the host is a very gentle person and we liked the conversations with him. He speaks excellent english and is very interested. The breakfast was very tasty. The guesthouse has a nice terrace and additional seats in the courtyard. There is also a small bar where you can buy drinks. The hostel is located in the middle of the castle and is therefore close to the city center (about 15 minutes walk), but still very quiet (especially in the evening). If there would be some crockery (glasses, plates, cutlery) and a sink for the guests in the shared area, that would be just the icing on the cake. We didn't need it because we didn't stay long, but I always find that very comfortable in guesthouses. Though I'm sure we could have asked him and he would have lent us something. We would definitely book there again.

  : Fantastically located within Berat Castle itself. The accomodation is comfortable and aesthetically pleasing. Cobbled streets, little restaurants, quaint furnishings. It had all the little mod cons that was needed. Aldi was very helpful. The room had a fridge and a kettle. There was hot water, air conditioning or heating available. It was an excellent place to stay over for a night to explore the castle, gorica bridge and the town of berat. The next day we visited Bogave Waterfall and Osumi canyon which was around 1.5 hours away. A very safe place, there were lots of families and older couples exploring. It was so exciting driving into the castle. Breakfast was lavish, eggs sausages, cheeses, salads, jams etc.
  : The beds were very firm, my preference is a softer bed. Our breakfast view was amazing on the terrace but this meant breakfast got cold really quickly due to the time of year we visited. These are extremely minor points which are my preference. The place and people are fantastic. Thank you to Aldi and team for making the visit so comfortable and memorable
